Before you begin
Gift Engine is built for Shopify stores using a modern Online Store 2.0 theme. You need access to install the app, edit themes, and manage products and discounts in your store.

Install Gift Engine
When public installation is available, install the app from Shopify and approve only the permissions shown by Shopify.

Create an offer
Choose the campaign condition, gift variant, customer-facing messages, schedule, and status.

Enable cart sync
Open Shopify Theme Editor, enable the Gift Engine App Embed under App embeds, and save. Do not edit theme code manually.

Test the customer journey
Use a test cart to confirm that the gift appears once, stays free, and is removed when the cart no longer qualifies.

Activate and monitor
Activate the campaign only after the rule, stock, schedule, and discount behavior are verified.
Important operating notes
- Use one distinct gift variant per campaign where possible.
- Review stock availability before activating a campaign.
- Test discount combinations with other installed apps and Shopify settings.
- Keep customer-facing offer terms clear in your own store.
